Tiger needs Christ, and so do I

I've always liked Brit Hume, the former ABC News and now Fox News TV analyst.

He's come under fire for suggesting Sunday that in the wake of his exposed sins, Tiger Woods needs redemption. Hume said Tiger, who's professed no real religious belief in the past, needs Christianity.

In an interview here with Christianity Today, Hume talks about how his own son's suicide forced him to embrace Jesus Christ out of his own desperation. Hume makes the point many people miss: That the moral failings of professed Christians like Mark Sanford and Ted Haggard are not failures of Christianity, but evidence of its truth. That is, when Jesus said He came not for the well, but for the sick, not for the righteous but the unrighteous -- that is Good News for all of us. Thank you for speaking the truth in love, Brit Hume.
