Putting a value on the news

Giving away its product for free hasn't been good for newspapers. Read about it here. I agree wholeheartedly. Would anyone expect Dairy Queen to have two drive-thru windows -- one for paid burgers and Blizzards and one for free burgers and Blizzards? It's insane. We do valuable work to inform and entertain our readers and we should put a commensurate value on that labor. The Reporter is working on this very thing right now.
