Call Jim Marshall - Vote on biggest tax ever is today!
The House of Representatives is set to vote today on a cap and tax bill which President Obama admitted in his campaign would put coal plants like Plant Scherer out of business and would result in big hikes in power bills.
Our congressman, Democrat Jim Marshall of Macon, has apparently not made up his mind about how he'll vote.
Iain Murray of National Review Online reports on shenanigans last night in Congress that show Democrats are desperate to get the votes to pass this monstrosity:
"The stink surrounding the Pelosi-Waxman-Markey cap-and-tax bill has become vomit-inducing overnight. The Democrats have decided to replace the 1091-page bill with a 300-page bill that will be debated for no longer than three hours today. So your elected representatives will have virtually no time to debate the merits of an economy-spanning bill they will not have had time to read. Speaker Pelosi and her sidekick Waxman are displaying nothing more than complete contempt for the democratic process."

Will, it's the American people who keep voting these people into office. The politicians are just giving us what we asked for. If we don't like what they are doing we need to hold them accountable during their term, and vote them out in the next election. But we don't we keep the same ole people in year after year.
The republican party has none one to blame but themselves for the current situation. What was once a party of pragmatism has evolved into a party ran by those of religious furor and fueled by the likes of Limbaugh who appeals to emotion above intellect.
Both parties are draining USA wealth. Can you feel it? My friends are getting pink slips and ACORN is not helping them. Bank of America is not helping them. Americans need to WAKE UP!!
