Who's Obama? Prime Minister Attlee of course

Americans trying to figure out President Obama have likened him to everything from Franklin Roosevelt to the anti-Christ to, worse still, Jimmy Carter. But Andrew Stuttaford of National Review makes a strong case here that Obama most closely resembles British prime minister Clement Attlee. A politician who hid his socialist ambitions behind a bland demeanor, Attlee upset a war leader (Churchill) and then socialized British medicine and most of its society, a move from which the British have yet to recover. It's a sobering warning of what the current crisis may foretell.
